How does one manually remove a driver like that from OS X? It still does nto work – just get an error that there is no scanner installed or detected. When I press the “Scan” on my scanning software, I receive an error message that reads: Nov 7, 5: I bought the DS specificly because it was supposed to support OS-X, but I cant even use the native scanner interface which works just fine.

Tried different USB ports, new cable, reinstalled driver twice, nothing – like it does not exist. Nac answer in context. I do see a shared brother MFC machine on the network but that is another computer in another room. At home, it is perfect for scanning receipts, news articles, handwritten notes, school papers, photos, recipes and more. My scanned images have black lines running through them, blank spaces, or just overall bad quality. Now I upgraded to Mavericks. Nov 9, 6: Nov 4, 7: I did install the Driver, then I calibrated the scanner and then installed presto. Not sure what else to look for. OK, I did in fact finally get it working. I cannot install or reinstall the scanner driver using the Dsmobule that came with my Brother scanner. Brother’s email tech support just reiterated that I install the driver that supposedly works with Mavericks.
